What's Rev. Wright Getting At?

Lessons learned from Jesse Jackson's silence regarding this Rev. Wright flap:

1) No injustice to white males is unjust in view of historical injustices against blacks (Duke rape)

2) No hate speech or unfounded conspiracy theory from black community leaders is unjustifiable in view of historical injustices against blacks

3) All attacks, no matter how hypersensitive the criticism, against white media personalities require the immediate dismissal of the offender and monetary restitution (paid to Rev. Jackson on behalf of the sensitive offended).

Is Rev. Wright sacrificing Obama's presidential campaign in a bid to get a piece of Rev. Jackson's action?

Dems Block Ban on Porn Sales to Minors

Democratic Senators John Morse, Colorado Springs, and Brandon Shaffer, Longmont, were instrumental in successfully blocking Republican Senator Ted Harvey's bill to ban the sale of pornography to kids. In a totally partisan effort, Democrats larded Harvey's bill with costs, then used those costs as an excuse to ax it — a maneuver known around the Capitol as "death by fiscal note." Demographic Revolution

This video clearly illustrates how our population is changing. It is extremely powerful, showing how illegal immigration is one component of a worldwide socialist revolution.

Here's the revolution's storyline in a nutshell:
* We'll regulate and tax the rich into submission,
* We'll win the hearts and support of the poor by keeping them dependent upon us,
* By this means, we'll control the U.S.

Here's how illegal immigration fits in:
* Flood the U.S. with enough poor to destroy the social fabric of the middle class
* How to achieve this flood of poor? Watch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7WJeqxuOfQ

Blue Ribbon Socialist Health Care

Well, it's in. Can you say doosie?

The Blue Ribbon Commission for Health Care Reform submitted its recommendations. Evidently, 24 of the 27 commissioners who endorsed the Commission's recommendations really believe, in true socialist fashion, that the state is best qualified to run health care and should, regardless of cost. Either that, or they have economic dogs in this fight.

In its words, this Commission's recommendations, its 5th proposal, is a bold yet realistic package that can be implemented in stages. I'm not making this up - this characterization is right there on the web site: http://www.colorado.gov/cs/Satellite?c=Page&cid=1201542097631&pagename=B....

The Colorado State Association of Health Underwriters submitted a proposal that melds personal responsibility, prudent risk assessment, and reform of medical malpractice laws into a reasonable package at a cost of $1.366 billion. Did the Commission include these elements in its proposal? Nope! The Commission's proposal costs $2.68 billion, and it's only a starting point! How much could it cost? Well, one proposal very close to the Commission's in philosophy, costed out at $26.578 billion.

Socialist Health Care Blew Up in CA

Governor Schwarzenegger joined Speaker Núñez for a Capitol press conference on health care reform on Tuesday, 01/29/2008, the day after the Senate nixed their initiative as way too costly. Reasonable heads in the Senate determined that the state simply could not pay for this socialist initiative.

The Governor said that he hasn't given up, that the coalition represented at this press conference will be back quickly with another socialist initiative to fix California's broken health care system. These coalition representatives were outnumbered only by the pink elephants dancing around the podium.

Pink Elephants #1: Not a word from the Governor or Speaker Núñez about what broke the system! The Governor related examples illustrating the degree to which their health care system is broken. In each example, though, the problem is either emergency rooms choked with non-paying illegal immigrants or people working for businesses, mainly small businesses, who can't afford the premiums that result from comprehensive and unnecessary coverage mandates.

The Open Spigot Blues

Now that the legislative session is underway, I'll be watching to see how heavy a tax burden the dems will try to encumber us with. With all those blue ribbon panels of know-it-alls having found so many urgent things to fix, I can wait to see what the legislature thinks we want to pay for.

Rep. DeGette's Cultural Bigotry Exposed

Rep. Diana DeGette (D, 1st District CO), in a stunningly revealing series of votes recently, displayed the left's prejudice against Christian culture. Ducking public view when confronted with the evidence of her cultural bigotry, in a manner reminiscent of KKK clan members hiding from public view, she hid behind her mouthpiece.

On Dec. 11th Rep. DeGette voted against recognizing the importance of Christmas and Christianity. DeGette's chief of staff, Lisa Cohen, told FOXNews.com that DeGette previously has opposed similar bills on Christianity because she "has concerns about separation of church and state." Well, DeGette's concerns about church-state separation do not extend beyond Christianity, as revealed by a simple check of the congressional record. You'll find the record of Rep. DeGette's votes below, after the quotes from Dr. Martin Luther King's letter.

First, the voice of reason. I found no mention of these votes on Rep. DeGette's official website. In fact, a search of her website for the term Christmas yielded, this morning, only three references to this most sacred and widely celebrated Christian tradition.

Results for "Christmas"

MERRIFIELD REJOICE !! American 15-year-olds Below Average in Math & Science

I've been trying to find some way to address Rep. Merrifield's opinion piece:
STATE SCHOOL REFORM MUST LOOK TO FUTURE
By MICHAEL MERRIFIELD
October 22, 2007 - 1:03PM
Published in The Gazette opinion page

The difficulty has been that something so stupid is genuinely hard to address seriously. You remember, I'm sure, Rep. Merrifield bemoaning Sen. Josh Penry’s and Rep. Robert Witwer’s bill proposing graduation standards mandating four years of math and English, three years of science, and two years of foreign language as old fashioned, outdated, 20th-century thinking. Rep. Merrifield argued that the inevitable result of such rigor is to take the pleasure and the joy out of learning and teaching.

Well, now comes this Associated Press report in today's edition of The Gazette documenting that, surprise, surprise, U.S. students are not learning science and math.
U.S. STUDENTS TRAIL GLOBAL PEERS IN SCIENCE AND MATH, TEST SHOWS
By The Associated Press
December 5, 2007
Published in The Gazette on page A14

Worried about student and teacher joy? Rep. Merrifield, what about pride in learning and teaching?
