Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment: "Thou shalt not speak ill of a fellow Republican."
A friend of ours received an invitation to attend a fundraising for Congressman Doug Lamborn in New Orleans. We are pretty sure that these staunch conservatives that are putting on this fundraiser for Congressman Lamborn are strong adherents and fans of Ronald Reagan. We somehow think that Ronald Reagan would be spinning in his grave if he saw this invitation. We know both of Congressman Doug Lamborn’s opponents. Neither are “sore losers” and both are especially not moderates.

Congressman Lamborn will discuss terrorism on the CNP Law & Justice panel
earlier Friday.
He is a co-founder of the House Caucus on Missile Defense. As a freshman in
2007, he topped
the Congressional Quarterly rankings for voting against the Democrats more
consistently
than any other member, and he earned a 100% rating from the Club for Growth.
First elected from Colorado Springs in 2006, Doug Lamborn faces a tough primary
this year
against two sore-losing moderates whom he defeated last time. We as hosts would
like
to have you know this outstanding conservative and join us in supporting him.
RSVP on this email. Make checks to Lamborn for Congress.

Doug Lamborn ducks another debate
Doug Lamborn blew off a 4th debate last night which was held by the Teller County Home Builder Assn. Bentley Rayburn and Jeff Crank both attended.
What does Doug have to fear from these two? He has the power of incumbency, frank mail privileges and a fundraising advantage that he should cause him to dispense of his two opponents in quick order. Instead his challengers will gain strength and draw this battle out until August.
Unfortunately, Doug Lamborn seems to have been affected by same ill advice that nearly cost him the primary in 2006.
Is he scared of his own short-comings or has Washington D.C. changed the Lamborn we sent to Washington into a beltway insider who believes he has lost touch with his constituents? It’s a shame that one of the strongest Republican districts in the country is represented by some one that too scare to represent the conservative value we all share.
Say What?
You know what occurs to me? Maybe cooler heads, being distant, are trying to tell the locals in El Paso county to wake up and get with the program. It couldn't be, could it, that those distant brethren recognize value in Lamborn?
What's El Paso county trying to do, anyway? Think about it!

Say Why?
You know, there is good reason behind Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment. It's called credibility and respect.
When false or petty charges fly, voters, who haven't the means to verify this or that charge, default to the only reasonable attitude available. That is, they discount the noise and devalue their confidence in all of the candidates by a corresponding amount.
Candidates, listen up. Whether or not you initiate or encourage irresponsible charges against opponents, your stake in them is undeniable. It is in your interest to get pro active in limiting it.
With reason,
P.Valerius
